Slack: 5 Reasons It's Better for Internal Communication
Slack and email both handle internal communication, but Slack's real-time, visible format tends to outperform email for team collaboration.
Where email is linear and individualized, forcing team members to send separate messages back and forth, Slack enables real-time collaboration: sharing files, working through projects together, and staying aligned without a long email thread. Since Salesforce acquired Slack, it has also been integrating more directly into the Salesforce CRM platform.
Slack also adds visibility that email doesn't: team members can see what others are working on and get status updates without having to actively check an inbox, which cuts down on the miscommunication and missed messages that are common with email-only teams.
